My father just died and I need to sell his pride and joy. He picked up a pristine F150 Nite V8 5.8 L. flareside long bed back in 1997. It's in pristine condition with 28K miles. All power, AC, alarm, cruise control, tow package, dual gas tanks, etc. From what I understand after reading the FTE posts is that this is a fairly limited edition truck. What can I expect to get for it? Any opinions as to whether the newspaper or Internet is best for peddling trucks?

Thanx! I first looked at the Kelley Blue book on line and they don't have the "Nite" edition listed, just the standard F150's. I'll give the other a try.

 

Personally I have never heard of the "Nite" edition but nothing suprises me. Find out about what the Lariat cost and then use that. Or at least something more than the XLT cause it sounds like it is worth more.

I am sorry about your loss, I have seen the "nite" scheme on a few trucks, they are a regular F150 that has the "Nite" package most are black with a pinkish stripe.
The fact that the truck is well cared for may bring more value, but seeing it is almost 10 years old the blue book value may not be that high. take care and good luck on the sale.
I have also seen a few broncos with the same trim.
