Sea Foam Motor Treatment

Has anyone used Sea Foam Motor Treatment and if so what are your opinions about it.It can be used in the crankcase or in the gas tank to clean injectors or carburetors. My son says this stuff really works but I need more feedback on this product before I use it.

I just suck it in through the brake booster line. The engine smokes in the mornings for days after it and I only use it once a year.

It does work well. I use half the can in gas tank and other half in crankcase. If you have a really old gas tank, be carefull what you ask for. It will clean all the crap out of your tank. Change fuel filter first and I use a clear one so I can see how bad it gets. Then change as needed. I have no experience with using in fuel injected engines. Engine will smoke as it burns out all the carbon.

It's awesome, took four Vac booster and tank treatment to fully clean my '91. Smoked like hell each time, now she burns nice and clean.

Went and Googled the stuff and theres a great video that shows doing all kind of lawn equipment and stuff, just got back in, did the chain saw, weed whacker, lawn mower, and hedge trimmer. The lawn mower sounds better than it did, never had a starting problems, but it's running smoother. The weed whacker is the one most improved, it idles better and has better response to the throttle.

I did a half can thru the booster hose a couple weeks ago and was expecting a massive cloud...talk about disappointment. I got nothing at idle, and a tiny amount when I romped on it. I might do another half can later on, but I figured sitting for 15 minutes would have been long enough.

My bud's civic has almost twice as many miles as my truck and it didn't even smoke that bad, but it did smooth out the idle nicely.

You gotta make sure that thing is 100% warmed up when you decide to do it. When I was fixing up a buddy's '03 Ram, I ran some through the engine before I changed the oil. Got it nice and warmed up, went through the brake booster tube, poured the whole can in, shut it off for 10 mins, started it back up and revved that engine like no other!

A big, thick cloud of smoke billowed out from the tailpipes and it looked like his house was on fire.

His truck ran awesome after that...

Can't do it on the X since it's a diesel, but I'm definitely going to head over to my parents house later and try it on their cars.....
