3.8 questions

i was just wondering, ive got an 82 f100 with a 3.8 and im putting the heads back on this weekend/week. i was just wondering if theres anything special with putting the heads on, also is the 3.8 in these full size trucks rare

Rare yes. A good idea from the factory? No.

They were an attempt to get better fuel mileage out of a brick.

It didn't work and they are way under powered for a truck unless you just haul groceries in the bed. This is only from what I've read and not from experience.

Rare, but not in a valuable sense. More like "unique" or "oddity".
