292 Flywheel Torque Spec

Anyone know what the torque spec is on the flywheel bolts on a 292?

75-85 ft. lbs. tightened in sequence across from each other.

Howdy,

I looked in my 1957 Ford shop manual (for the car) and is says 75-85 ft-lbs torque. I would imagine that the car flywheel and truck are the same. (My 54-55 truck shop manual indicates the same)

I would suggest that you also use an appropriate Lok-tite on the bolts (or use drilled bolts & safety wire).

Cheers,

Rick
