Just brought home my wife's 2012 Escape Hybrid Limited

Really nice vehicle. Two options: (1) voice activated NAV system and (2) active park assist.

My wife won the vehicle at a work function on Friday night, September 23. We left on the 24th for the Outer Banks. We stopped at two Ford dealerships on Route 13 in Delware on the way home on October 1. Picked up a 2011 brochure at the first dealership to see what she won.

We checked out the vehicle at the dealer on the 2nd and picked it up today.

Looks like I'll be in here with questions.

Your wife won a freaking car? And the top of the line model? That is way too cool. Congratulations

I'm jealous. We had to buy ours! It's not a hybrid though.

Congrats on the new ride!

So does the a/c work while running on battery power? Just one of those things I wonder about down here in the Florida heat.

Congratulations to your wife, that is great. A hybrid no less! That's a pretty expensive Escape she won there. Good luck with it and welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on the great luck. I have owned two Escape hybrids since 2005 and have enjoyed them so much I have no intention of getting rid of either one until they are at least 10 years old.

Hope you enjoy yours as much.

Thanks, all.

We really like the vehicle. First Ford.

My uncle worked at Ford in Michigan from after WWII until his retirement, probably in the 1980s. He's in Ford elderly housing now.

Dad was a Chrysler guy growing up, and we've been driving VW/Audi products. I currently drive a Jetta Sportwagen TDI.

Might sell my wife's New Beetle to make some more room in the driveway. She loves that car, though. It's a snap orange Color Concept car.
