06 exp transfer case shift

My wonderful 06 exp will not shift into 4L for sure and I am certain also 4H.
I move the switch in 4L as soon as I let go of the brake after I place gear selector in D I get the info center informing me to put foot on brake and neutral to engage 4L, did that already.
It's not in 4 L I can feel it not in low range, seems to be a common problem with these, no error codes so I take it shift motor is on permanent vacation who makes a good quality replacement new or rebuilt other than FORD?
many thanks,
-T

To FORD if you read these Forums: I like my 78 bronc, 93 F350 and 76 F100 4x4's much better. Just pull a manual lever and lock hubs deal is nice insurance to know I don't get stuck in the woods in 2 wheel drive when vehicle has 4 wheel drive and some cheap made electric piece just happen to break ( ok 3 wheel drive, all mine have locker or LS in the rear at minimum, F350 and F100 have lockers front and rear)

After checking ALLDATAdiy.com I found these listed as possible causes.

Transfer case
Integrated wheel ends (IWE)
IWE solenoid
4x4 module (PCM)
Front axle assembly
Mode select switch (MSS)
Circuit 682 DB/WH)
Circuit 780 (DB)
Circuit 704 (DG/LG)
CJ13 Fuse 115 (30A)

The IWE Integrated wheel ends are prone to not engaging properly. ALLDATAdiy.com has indivdual tests for all of these symptoms in order to properly diagnose your Ford Expedition.

The shift motor is all electric. If you have a 2H position on your 4WD selector switch, the front axle is engaged/disengage from the front differential ring gear via a vacuum actuator.

Bigcrunch.... were you able to fix your problems? I just noticed this weekend that my '06 is doing the exact same thing as yours. Haven't had a chance to look at mine yet to see what's going on.

this thing is a costly annoying vehicle,, that can't be trusted!
