I knew in it was a spare tire holder for a flatbed but was not sure how it attached. I sold it years ago and hopefully the buyer knew how to use it.

This stakebed is 7' long. (which is all wrong from what we have been told and by what is listed in the salesmans handbook) supposed to 6.5' or 7.5' long right??
and does not appear to have been modified too much? the side boards don't look like originals look and the stakes are metal. (however the wood looks old enough to be original?)
Notice the sheet metal mud flaps with support brackets. anyone seen those before? original ford? dealer add on or farmer edition?
Almost hate to part this thing out, maybe better left together as a unit?
