Hey everyone~

After a very long "break" I am back at the resto!! Im working at a bod shop and have the cab gutted and on a roller cart. She had a few more dents than I recalled, but I got it farily close to primer! My goal is to have the cab painted and bolted on the truck by spring. Then I'll start with the front clip, fneders etc. In th meantime I plan to get the new gas tanks, most of the wiring, etc onto the frame. Since I've been on here last I've hunted down quite a few NOS parts, including all under hood wiring, the full frame harness, door panels, one headlight bezel, inner wheel wells, etc etc.

I'll get pics of the cab and stuff up tomorrow! Just wanted to touch base as It's been WAY too long since a progress update!!

I wish I had a shop and not a snow covered driveway

thanks, ill get a few more pics up later.

Gotta cook supper and hockey's on after that

PM crsweet on the dash pad. Jade green pads are very very rare. If you haven't seen the ones he's done for some of the guys here, they are beautiful. He does wonderful work. I'm hoping to save some cash up and get him to do a couple for me.

I think it's great you are doing green. It pains me when people throw out the green stuff. It is hard to find.

well, as I figured my boss was wrenching on his race cars al weekend so no cab paint I did work on my doors though!

I don't know what mirrors or what they had on these, but I had more than a few holes to weld shut. I marked holes for my mirrors but just left them small for now as I am planning to install riv-nuts instead of just drilling and using a bolt and nut. I'm not sure the bit size yet, so for now i'll just leave the mirror holes small!

heres a few pics!

the doors arent exactly straight, but their aint a speck of rust anywhere....the bottoms are clean as a whistle!

I got a big house painting side project im starting today now so......

well, I came on to here to share a few pics of the cab that is Finally "jambed" and sitting on the frame atop new LMC mounts. I recently switched phones and the pics are gone lol.

Anywho....I got the dash shell installed and the wiring roughed in....Im ordering new brake and fuel lines this week. once they arrive and get installed i'll finish up the brakes at the wheels, and hopefully get fuel tanks ordered very soon!

Plan is to get it running and then finish prepping the exterior of the cab and get it shot. Once thats done I can get my doors finished and move onto the front clip area!

I'll get pics tomorrow for sure!

got some pics uploading now! I just moved back to fargo….so truck is still in garage at other house I'm midway putting a banks turbo on the 6.9 so the truck is down currently to haul it here with.

in the meantime I bought Nos fenders doors and box sides yesterday!! only 170 miles from home couple singers in the box sides but the fenders and doors are perfect. He didn't have a hood but i got a really clean one I'm gonna use….though its full of hail dents!

the cab has been primed and blocked out once and reprimed, one door has been primed and blocked out once and the other is in primer.

the front inner fenders and core support are on so so the truck runs and can be moved around now.

i sand blasted the inners, core support, headlight buckets and all accompanying parts and shot them gloss black. I would have preferred the factory galvanized look but I didn't wanna pay to send everything away and have it redipped!

Hopefully SOON i can get truck hauled back home and get the dam cab painted…..it all jambed and on the frame so once i block it again then i can do my final prime

photos incoming in 3 2 1…...
