More Power for my 239 Flathead - how?

Is there any simple way to get more power out of my 239 V8?
It is in a 5 ton Towing Truck. Need more torque at lower RPM for pulling Cars and trailers.
Thank You
Claus

That is a sweet rig you have there!!!!! I dont know the diff between the german version and the american version but the basis are the same. Electronic ignition from pertronix made a big difference on my truck. headers and a free flowing muffler will make a little improvement. Your best bet will be to install a 4" mercury crank and pistons.
