I am also trying to get mine replaced by Magnaflow. Most of the system is showing incredible amounts of rust. You would think a stainless system would stay relatively shiny, but not this one.
All I know is that if I have to do this again I will probably look to MBRP and their top of the line exhaust kit as I've only heard great reviews from them. I am very disappointed with Magnaflow as of right now.

Guys, I tend to agree with SVT2205 that it is either poor quality material or a process error that is reducing the corrosion resistance of the stainless. It could be both. If they are importing their material say from China, I can say with a great amount of certainty that the material is of inferior quality.
I don't care if they make it out of cheddar cheese imported from the north pole, they provided a lifetime warrenty...they need to stand behind it. And for those considering purchasing anything from Performance Peddler, www.performancepeddler.com you should check out their BBB rating prior to doing business with them: http://www.bbb.org/eastern-michigan/...y-mi-54002083/

I have heard nothing but bad about Performance Peddler. I think it was FTE Ken himself who gave them a chance when he was doing his Roush F-150 build-up. Said it took forever and gave up and went with another vendor.
I'm going to stay with Magnaflow mufflers for the sounds...but I doubt I'll ever buy the entire kit again. I can do a custom setup for about 1/2 the cost of their kits
Thats a bummer about Magnaflow.... I just put their 16616 system on my truck in May. I like the way it sounds, but next time I think I'll either go with MBRP or Roush...
i tried to get a new tail pipe section for my SISO 16612 kit, and i talked directly to magnaflow..... well, i was told that it was not possible to buy just 1 piece of a kit. they only make complete sets, and do not sell pieces seperately.... what kind of BS is this? i highly doubt that their manufacturing process makes 1 full set at a time, piece by piece. they must have bins of each piece laying around.

If that's a stock pipe, take it back to Ford and have them weld it. whoever, or whatever welding machine was used needs to go back to school. They overheated the pipe attaching the hangar. Obviously.
the piping may have some issues, and the install was fubar'ed
but don't discount Magnaflow. They easily make the best sounding mufflers out there. I'm too cheap to buy another full Maggie setup, but I will use their mufflers on my other custom built stuff without any qualm
I wasn't even upset about the rusting stainless steel...now I am. I live in Houston Texas...we don't have road chemicals or salted roads, just a ton of dead armadillos. I do like the sound of the muffler but I'm feeling like I got royally screwed by MagnaFlow and Performance Pricks. It's a real shame when an all American business doesn't live up to their promises.
Anywho, I was getting two new tires mounted (Scorpion ATRs, got them off ebay) at the local NTB and one of the kids who works there was admiring the rig and asked about the exhaust. Turns out his Uncle owns a muffler shop near by and he gave me his card. Think I'll stop by and see how much to re-weld the busted hanger and relocate the other hanger that was in the wrong spot.
That really sucks and it would piss me off that they are not responding. 400 series will rust and it looks like in the pics its 400 stainless as 304 won't get that bad unless its super poor quality or their bending operations introduced plain steel into the surface. My 304 stainless magnaflow tip has some odd rust type crap on it.
Some people are real big on warrenties but I'm not. I know the warrenty is only as good as the company/person that backs it up.
UPDATE: Finally got someone over there at Performance Peddler, actually, it was the same guy I talked to in April. At first he didn't remember my issue but after going over everything he snapped to. Evidently the breakdown was in the fact that Magnaflow cancelled the 16614 model and, at the time of my issue, had not released the replacement model. He said he had turned my case over to his manager and that's why it didn't go any further (managers being "managers and all). So, this showed up today, model 16520.
