Passenger side carpet wet after rain

1996 Ranger 3.0
Every time it rains lately my passenger side floor is soaked. The carpet isn't wet up near the fire wall but there is about a quarter of and inch of water near the door. I looked after the last rain and the weather seal appeared dry. I have no clue where it is coming from. Does anyone else experience this or know where to find the leak?

Get into the truck upside down, or at least put your head under the dash near the glove box and look up at the bottomside of the instrument panel. Near where the antenna wire comes in. Look for rusty spots or loose 'dum-dum', the sealer used to seal panels together at the factory. If it is not rusty nor wet, then check the rear window down near the bottom and look for run marks down the inside sheet metal. Sometimes water can get inside the rear seal and travel down the internal channel formed by the seal, and leak out at the bottom.

This may sound stupid, but make sure it doesn't smell like antifreeze. (use your defroster when it rains?)

Otherwise, I would take a good look around the windshield, look under the car at the floorboard, drainage holes in the door, etc.

My experience with older Rangers is that rainwater leaks seem to start at the top pass. side corner of the windshield seal, then run down the inside of the kick panel. Pull the pillar trim on the pass. side and look for signs of leakage running down the inside.

Check upper door seal. Poor water over it and see if it leaks along the door edge.

OK to close this one out I caulked the lower corner of the windshield with exterior clear caulking between the rubber seal and the truck windshield frame. There was a small gap there. I have had no leaks since. Thanks to all who helped.
