Engine Swap 4.6

I am new to these forums and need some help. I have a 1991 Crown Vic Police P71 4.6 with less then 30000 miles since rebuild. I would like to put it in a F-150 with a blown engine. Does anyone know what years of pickups that the engine will fit? Is it a problem with modifications? I have a 1995 F-150 with 97500 miles as my everyday workhorse. Thanks for all help.

Hmm, 1991, what's the manufacture date on the CV? Very early 1991 4.6's were a 302/5.0 bellhousing pattern.

What engine is in the F150?

Sorry, my mistake. The Crown Vic is a 1992, not a 1991. I want to put the engine out of the Crown Vic into a second Ford pickup, not my everyday F150. I want to look around for a pickup with a blown engine and make the switch. Thank you

As long as it's a non-PI head engine, it probably wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Just be aware of the difference between the Romeo engine (Crown Vic) and the Windsor engine (trucks, after a certain year, not sure of what year).
