05 Screw 4x4 Bed Noise

The bed on my 05 SC Fx4 is making a lot of noise. It always made noise going up my dirt road but now it has gotten worse. Its not a metal on metal noise but its as if the sheet metal for the bed side panels are flexing which they are obviously not. Any ideas of wear to tighten, lube or place rubber washers??????

Get a spray in bed liner. that will shut it up.

Well this morning I got under the bed and cleaned everything. Their was a lot of dust under their and mud. After cleaning and using some compressed air on some of the areas I then lubed them with synthetic grease which ford recommends. I added this to the leaf spring bolts, the forward and rear braces that go to the fenderwells and a couple of contact areas. I went down the road and their was no difference. Looking under their i think that the sound might be coming from those braces where they attach to the bed and side walls. What are your ideas?

This might be a different noise but I have a squeak noise that comes from my tailgate every once and a while. I just spray some WD-40 on the latches and the inside of the handle. A little bit of grease might help too. Just an idea i'm throwing out there

check out your spare tire. It may be loose, and sliding around a little bit.

I did remove the tailgate as suggested and tried it and it has the same noise. It comes from bed sides. I managed to convince the wife to drive down the road slowly ;-) with me looking in the wheel wells. I am convinced now that it is coming from the fore and aft reinforcement bars that run from the chasis to the bed side in front and behind of the wheels. I am going to loosen them up today and place some washers on the nuts and see if that helps.
