Tylus, you're confusing the 4.6 in the F150s with the one from your old Mustang...
From '04-07 they had 231 HP, while in 2007 they went to 248 HP...

Big difference in the top end between the 2v and 3v engines. Not sure what's involved, but I'd definitely get a vacuum and wiring diagram to see what's needed before you start unbolting things from a working truck!
