fresh paint!

I painted my truck last weekend, acrylic enamel in chrome yellow. It really wasn't too difficult and I'm really happy with the results--looks and feels like a totally different truck. check the before and after. don't let anyone tell you that you can't do a decent paint job yourself!

Nice. Did you remove the trim or just tape it?

thanks fellas! I didn't paint the interior, but i plan to eventually. I think i'll pull up the carpeting and put some hammerite down, and possibly tape off the dash, etc and just brush on or maybe spray if I feel froggy. I couldn't be bothered with the interior at the time.
I did pull all of the trim off, which is somewhat tricky the first time around. The real pain is sanding around all of the metal tabs that the trim clips hook to. I didn't pull the grille off though, just taped it off. I didn't have the heart to do that after replacing it so recently.
I'd think about it Regg--where do you live?

That looks great! I love the chrome yellow. Been considering colors for my '79. Caught the Oregon plates. In Medford here. Where are you located?

Nice job! I can appreciate anyone who can pull off their own paint job. I have done one myself and I know all the work that goes into the bodywork, prep, and paint. You should be proud!

In Medford here. Where are you located?
Judging by those coastal pines and the last picture, I'd have to guess somewhere north of coos bay, near a river mouth, rogue, umpqua, chetco? Beautiful real estate, Paint job looks pro, nice work.
