Air Filters

Hey gang, it's time I throw a air filter in the engine. Was wondering if anybody knows the Fram number, or any suggestions on a air filter. Been to Wally World and a few auto stores with no luck, or a listing. Thanks, Al.

Rock Auto has a Fram #CA10076 @ $9.81, a WIX 49136 @ $16.03 and a Motorcraft @ $20.79.

My local Advance Auto has a Purolator for ~$35.00!!!!!

I just bought the WIX along with the WIX 33242 fuel filter for ~$9.00 as well as a Dayco serp belt. Total with shipping was~$50.00.

Now for plugs @ $100/set of 10

Thanks for the reply Dave, I'll check it out. I may be able to find Wix locally.

My filter was plugged up with all kinds of crap last fall from the truck running next to the combine and such man that will fill it up in a hurry. Any way it was after hours for a ford dealer and it need a filter as it was running not the best so I went to advanced auto and asked the guy how much one was and he said anywhere from $10-$75 just depends on brand and quality so I told him to just give me what matched the stock specs and it was a purolator about $30. How true his statement was I do not know but interesting never the less.

Just put mine in - the bottom of the cleaner case was full of bird seed from the bird feeders. Looks like the local mice and chipmunks were busy over the winter scrounging the stuff the birds dumped on the ground. Luckily - no mummified bodies though
