Climate Control - No Display

Periodically, after I start my 2005 F350, there is no display for the climate control and nothing works. If I shut down and restart the truck once or twice, the display returns and everything is okay. Any ideas?

Thanks.

I have this same problem. It only happens once in a while. I took it too ford one time for a simmular problem. The interior light would not come on when you open a door. That only happens once in a while too. Of course they never figured it out and it still dose it every know and again.

My 2005 F250 does the same thing. Once or twice a year it happens. I took it in the first couple of times and they couldn't find anything.

Holy cow!! Mine did the same thing on Thursday.
It has done it since it was new, I took it in to the dealer for warranty and the display worked every time, no fix.
I was told that the in-dash control unit was defective, the dealer wants $291.00.
I unplugged/plugged in the fuse under the dash and wiggled some wires and the display came on. Working ever since.
I found a used one in a wrecking yard for $95.00, never purchased since mine is now working again.
What is up with this?

its the digital climate control in the dash, it quit working so i stopped at my local dealer and they seen it not working and ordered a new one under warranty he said they are known for going out.

When I took mine to the dealer it started to work, they took my word on it and replaced the unit.

Better kiss your dealer.

I've had it twice on my '05. Once in Wyoming a couple years ago. Was not looking forward to a 1500 mile trip with the windows open. Restarted and it came back on.

Last time I pulled the fuse, reinstalled and it came back on.

More high quality parts. A whole 60K miles.
