Hello All,

I am trying to purchase a tow package for my brothers birthday. He just purchased a used 2009 F-150 SuperCrew. I am not sure if from the factory or previous owner the truck is equipped with wiring for the tow package already. It does have a **** in the cab for brake assist or something like that.

What is a good aftermarket tow package that can be installed by myself? Looking to tow approx 2000lbs.

I've always gone with U-Haul. I put one on a 2010 XLT and it was around $225 w/lifetime warranty.

 

Are you positive it doesn't already have one? If it has the factory brake controller, it more than likely has the tow package too... These tow packages are kind of hidden behind the bumper. If not, then I'd say get a factory one.
