Too much blow by??

Took a couple vids of the smoke coming from my oil fill tube -- what do you all think? Is this "bad"? The first I took after idling about 5 or so minutes, the second I took after running some errands with the engine fully warmed up. Don't really notice much difference, but I wanted to get y'all's opinion on it. Never really paid much attention to this, but everyone says to watch out for the "choo-choo train" look, and I think there is some of that here. Am I in trouble here?? Have a look:

First vid (5 min warm-up):

Second vid (fully warmed up):

thats nothing to worry about..its not the amount of smoke but how much pressure that gets pushed out..some oil will smoke and smell more then others..

That's about the same amount that my truck puts out when I run Rotella 5-40. Once I changed it to Rotella 15-40 it smoked less. If you put the oil cap upside down on top, will it blow it off? If it dose, then you have too much, but if it rattles of cuz of the motor vibration your fine.

Yeah, I'm running syn Rotella. I'll try the upside-down cap trick after bit. Need to get some stuff done but this damn weather is REALLY pizzing me off... Friggin' wind s blowing like crazy, and it's only in the low 50s. Where's global warming when we need it...

Air temp and humidity will have an effect on how much smoke you see. On a warmer and drier day you may see less smoke or none at all. Here in AZ I don't see any smoke on a warm dry day.

Depending on temps and which oil I'm using, mine has almost no smoke, or 3 times as much as in your video. Place your hand over the fill tube. If you don't feel it puffing at you, your fine.

As the others have said, no worries.

As a related question: Has anyone replaced their oil filler cap? I am looking for a little "dressier" version for mine. I tried a chrome one from Advance Auto (made by Mr. Gasket) but the threads were slightly different and would not screw all the way down.

I've been looking for one to. IIRC. Alan Miller had one that said powerstroke on it.
