New f350 diesel automatic trans chatter

Have 750 miles on a 09 and when pulling a 6500lb trailer I started getting what it feels like is trans chatter when I pull away form a stop. Its quite jerky. Goes away as I pick up speed. Common????

I would have the dealership take a look at that as quickly as possible, under warranty of course.

My 08 F250 and now my 08 F350 DRW both chatter when I take off under a load.
The F350 isn't as bad. My feeling is that it is normal, or I am just incredibly lucky.

Do you have a long bed truck with a 2 piece drive shaft? You probably need to have the carrier bearing shimmed a little to eliminate the shudder when starting with a load. I think there is a TSB on this.

There is a TSB for this issue on the 08's and 09's, TSB 09-4-9 (Shudder or vibration on acceleration - Especially when loaded). The one downside to having the TSB performed is it warns that you may endup with the same shudder or vibration when the vehicle is unloaded instead. Basically the TSB is only worth having done if the truck is experiencing the issue and is driven loaded more often then unloaded...

The TSB only appears to apply to trucks with 156" and 172" wheelbases and is only covered under warranty if you are still within the 3/36 portion of the warranty...
