What consists in a towing package ? How Can I tell if my truck has this ?
I just purchased a 97 F150 ,xlt ,supercab ,4x4 , with the 5.4 engine. It has what appears to be a factory hitch and plug in for lights . I didnt know if this meant it had a towing package and if so what does it consist of . I'll be pulling a small boat and also a pop-up camper. Do I need any special options ? Thanks

Your good to go. I used my 97 F150 4.6L to haul a 21 ft 5-er and a 16 ft Mariner at the same time. Used to do 70 all the way to the lake with no problems. I sold the truck with 90,000 on it and it was in perfact shape. Don't get me wrong here I loved that truck, BUT there is nothing like my DIESEL.

2000 F-250 XLT SUPERCAB 7.3 PSD 4X4 AUTO, LIGHTED VISOR, ROLL TOP COVER, BLACK AND BEAUTIFUL. I JUST LOVE A FORD TRUCK.
