Home made is the best source!
Watch out for generic cages, while they are still cages, many do not clear later model shoulder belts, and have very straight foward tubes. This takes up someleg clearance, and most halos do not clear factory sun visors. I know, not real important for a racer, but if it sees the street these variables, can make a big difference.
Thats why custom is worth the time and effort.

Guess I'll have to find a tube bender. What size/grade tubing is best. It's going in my mud truck, does see some road use, but mainly offroad. I have been in a roll over in the past without a cage, and when that roof is coming up at you while your upside down, I felt like I was in a tin can with someone stepping on it!! Tie with plates to the cab or frame?

I mocked mine all up out of cardboard and such and sent the drawing to Chris Alston to build. I was going to Sacramento anyway so I just bought all my stuff from him. I tied the main hoop and the front bars to the floor with a 6X6"X3/8" metal plate sandwich. I attach those to the frame underneath with outriggers. There are also diagonal bars running from the bottom of the main hoop to the frame behind the seat. I needs more cage but for now it handles a lot better.
