09 TPMS issue, need some help plz

I ordered some 20's for my 09 Screw, was told to go to the dealer and buy the new sensors since I will keep my stock rims for winter. Was told the 09's use the stem style, no big deal, just $260 later. Rims came in, took the sensors to the shop and they ruined one by trying to force it in the wheel. Apparently they changed the size of the sensor's for 09???????? What are you guys doing to deal with this, are there rims out there with the larger holes to accept this, and will the band style from older models work on the 09's?? Lots of questions I know, but I can't be the first person to run into this problem like everyone I've talked to is acting like. I would rather not deal with the light always on and having to hit the reset every time I start my new truck.

Thanks
