Mods and maintenance on my '87 Chevy.

So yesterday I went out and did my usual inspection to the truck before installing my new MODS!

I checked my muffler bearings,

made sure I have the right season of air in my tires,

and or course the blinker fluid!

Then it was time to totally install my new MODS that I had been waiting on!
First up, my brand new cross-drilled brake lines!

Using the manual they were in, in just a few minutes!
I drained the fluid completely and then installed them as it says.
(Stupid car companies trying to slow me down with not allowing air to flow through my brake lines for cooling.)

Next up was my spark plugs.

According to the site I bought them from they made total sense!
"Spark plugs are often misunderstood by most people. A spark plug's name is quite literal. They are designed to plug the line - and suppress any spark that may come through. Of course, you know what happens if a spark finds an open fuel source!! That could get ugly! KaleCoAuto extra retardant plugs block 99% of spark, and allow 95% of ignition molecules to pass through. That's 25% more than the competition, and unlike the competition, KaleCoAuto plugs never need cleaning."
I sure hope they work good!

Of course, what would a tune-up and MOD day be without plug wires?
I'll bet your jealous of my new hollow chrome wires! Unlike yours, they will never need cleaning!!!

Now the clutch belt.

No matter where I looked I just couldn't find it! So I guess that will have to wait.

When I changed the oil I used this stuff right here because it sounds amazing to not have to rebuild my motor so soon.

"Is the inside of your motor dirty? Most likely! Some people will tell you the only way to clean your motor is to tear it down and rebuild it. This is no good!!! KaleCoAuto internals cleaner is a special combination of iron, graphite, and copper shrapnel of assorted sizes that work to sand and polish the inside of your motor! Add 2oz per quart of oil in your car. New engine clean shrapnel should be used at every oil change! Bottle includes pouring mechanism. Comes in 16oz packages. Do not injest. Contact a physician immediately if injested, do not induce vomiting."
Sounds awesome!!!

When someone said, "The reason it stopped running is because you used the Engine Oil Bypass Kit! And now you've spun a bearing!"
I thought to myself what does he know?! Hahaha.
Last time I went to the 1/8 mile I ran a 17.234 the first time. Then while in the pits I installed my new Engine Oil Bypass Kit.

My next pass was 17.233 so hot damn, that kit worked!!!

It really drove a bit funny on the way home and started making a lot of noise so I think it might be because I need to insulate my radiator with this cool product.

Pretty cool looking, eh?

On the way home from the track I got a flat somehow so I had to change to my 22" spinner spare from my Civic.
I had some trouble getting the lug nuts off but luckily there was a hardware store a block away and they carried the greatest stuff ever for removing stubborn bolts.

I highly recommend it. Within 5 minutes all the lugs were off.

By then it was time to stop and have an energy drink with the buds.
We only drink the best in the world, and our cars can drink it too!

The website we buy them from says this,
"Energy drinks. This is something that is way out of hand these days. But - They are all the same, aren't they? Guarana, Caffeine, and lots of Sugar. It's all just masked by one artificial flavor or another. But why haven't there been any great breakthroughs? Because we had not released ours yet! If you can get email on your phone, or internet on your game console, why can't you get octane booster in your energy drink? This will give both you AND your ride some much needed pep! Includes tasty chemicals like: Toulene, Nitroglycerine and Acetalyne. Just to name a few! And as an added bonus - It can strip lead paint. Warning: Do not operate machinery while under the influence, or expect to live more than one hour after imbibing. If swallowed, consult whichever god you pray to. Do not get on skin. Do not get in eyes."
Once you have 5 or so we try to refrain from driving over 85.

Well everyone, that's all for now!
I've got to go to work and I'm trying to give my truck that "flat black" hot rod look while I'm gone.
(Here's the cheap and easy trick I learned from the pros.)
You just light it up!

Have a good one everyone! I'll post up more MODS as I receive them!
Oh and as always, if you have any questions about how to make your truck run a 17.233 in the 1/8th like mine, feel free to ask.
I haven't forgotten where my roots are!

I tell my wife every time her blinker won't work to check the fluid, she believes me, now she will really believe me when I send her to that web site... thats the best thing since lap dances right there... I'll be sure to pass that along to my chevy/dodge driving/towing friends
