A 5 star tuner box, new tires, camper tiedowns, airbags for the rear, wiring for the camper, etc on the new truck.
All to be done hopefully soon.
Then new bumpers I plan to make.

Speaking of mud flaps,I got to fix one that I busted the mounting holes off. The duals served me well to pack snow down in the drive way.

hey Zip, if you end up taking out your cat make sure you keep it. I got my truck straightpiped at a shop and didn't bother keeping mine.... then I found out they are worth $2000-2500. If I were to do it all again I would take out the cat, gut it and but it back in, so it looks like its there but you get that amazingly awesome 03 turbo whistle.

Yea I have heard they are quite pricey.

I'm still kind of wondering if I want to just take the cat out and leave the muffler or take out both. Either way I will save the cat.

yeah left my muffler in for a while and ran without the cat and it wasn't bad. You get more whistle but it isn't much more throaty. Straightpiped really that loud until you get to about 2500rpm (when it gets mean). Normal driving isn't bad though but dont get me wrong its not quiet either (its like sneaking up on someone in a jet) just not abnoxious. My favorite part about it is when its idling and you hear the egr cycle on and off every few minutes, you hear the turbo spool up and sing like a jet then its like the turbo just shuts off and it sounds like a big block.

You could take both out and straight pipe it.If you don't like it (it can be loud at 2500 and up) put the cat in try it then try the muffler. Pipe is cheap when it's straight. There's no hurry once you got the straight pipe in is there?

That's what I'm after. I love the turbo sound coming out the pipe. Don't know if my wife will like it though.

It looks like the shop used 4inch and with some creative welding to downsize it a bit. Hack job in my opinion but they only charged me $10. But then again they prob sold my cat and made a killing. I am wanting to replace it with a 4 inch turbo back, but will have to see if I get any money back on my tax return first.

Got a phone call this morning, my true trac finally made it in to Alta, and now I get to call them in the am and have it shipped home.
That will about do for my mods for a while, as I have just spent in the last month my tax return. Man things up here add up fast!

If you are taking out your cat make sure you keep it. If you ever have to get your truck inspected you need it. lol And if you don't keep it, you'll be paying out the *** to get a new one.

As for truck work I have put a new fuel tank in my truck, $60 bucks for anew one from lordco. Not to bad eh?
