Just an update... my wife heard from her sister down in Binghamton and her and her husband are okay.

I see that the news is reporting that 13 died from the incident and one of them was the shooter. My thoughts go to all of those that were involved.

Yes it is Carl. My sister in law works for the state as a social worker and not knowing exactly where she maybe working, it was a big concern. Plus she also just found out about a month ago that she is expecting and it is their first.

Opinions wanted

I need to replace the ceiling fan in our bedroom because the existing one has a bearing going bad and is very noisy. What brands do those of you have and what are the pros and cons of them.

The current one is a Hunter and the one thing that I hate with a passion is the way the blades attach to the fan motor.
I was able to hang two other fans high up on the ceiling working off from scaffolding and a step ladder quicker than the time it took to hang the Hunter from a regular ceiling
