I saw a 99 F-150 4X4 5.4 for sale today by a private seller on the street, what caught my eye was how EXTREMELY clean it was no scraches, dings, or rust. and the interior, WOW, very clean. It has 126K miles, half life BFG's All-Terrain KO'S,Security Alarm, and power everything. He is asking $6,900, I like the truck for my son(he loved the truck too)
What do you guys think this truck is worth by the info i said???

$5000 at most. Sounds like a really nice truck. But these trucks dont bring a lot of money these days. Especially private party to private party. Ask them if they have replaced any parts in the front end yet. Ball joints, tie rod ends ect. They tend to go out about that time. Thats not a deal breaker, but would be nice to know before buying a vehicle.

Hate to sound like your ignorant of mechanic work, but while ur at it, when was the last time the coolant, brake system, and tranny were flushed? Front end parts do tend to go bad when you use these trucks as a work truck. I would def. agree that 5k at most. Look at your local craigslist for what they're going for too. BB value is outdated right now and hasn't caught up w/the recession yet. Just FYI... your mileage w/a 4x4 5.4 is going to drop. Especially w/big BFG's on it But sounds good. Just check the mechanical side of things real well. Best of Luck

 

Front end parts go bad regardless of work or not on these trucks. They just do.
