5.4 Slight hesitation in 99 f150 when cool

It's nothing major yet but is becoming quite annoying. Truck starts and runs fine most of the time. On occasions either fresh start or between trips as soon as I put the truck in Drive and go it starts a slight hesitation. Most of the time I can give er a little hell and it smooths right out. Not really the solution i'm lookin for.

So far i've done the following...

I put a K&N air filter in it, New Fuel Filter, Ran some Seafoam through a tank of High octane shell gas & had the spark plugs professionally changed. Battery was going weak so I put in a Optima battery.

I Still has same issue. It's random and unpredictable. For instance it did it twice last week on different days and not even once the week before. It's never caused a service light either. I'd like to figure it out before it gets worse.

Little about it, 5.4 L Extended cab, Automatic, 2wd.

Thanks for looking,

Chad

Try cleaning the MAF sensor. It probably has some K&N filter oil on it causing it to read off and run a bit lean.

I use brake parts cleaner. It doesn't leave a residue when it dries.
