My new-to-me '07 5.4 F150 is I need of coolant.

I see by the Zerex website that the G-05 is compatible with the Ford spec.
Is this what most of us use or is there something other than FoMoCo form our not so local dealer?

The Zerex is more convenient and less expensive, which would be a double plus

 

I buy "universal extended life yellow"...... normally at Wal Mart... different brands qualify.

Zerex G 05 is perfectly compatible with Ford truck cooling systems. I suspect the Ford brand coolant is the same as G-05 just rebranded.

Don't mix other formula coolants with it -- some do evil things to our cooling systems, Others are supposedly compatible with G-05/Ford Coolant -- maybe so but why take a chance.

 

Thanks. My son used to have a VW Passat and Vdub has special everything. I have heard some real horror stories about mixed, non compatible coolants.

 

Just me. I hate Dexcool. but I know my 2013 has it.
