Hey all. Thought I'd update everyone on my build. I'm getting closer. I still am waiting on the bed which should be done anytime now. It's still in Nebraska. I was able to get the front clip complete (with just a few touch up things to do) and get my wheels and tires on. I have to take apart the driver rear hub again to replace a wheel stud, but no big deal. Here are a few pics of the progress.
All I can say is WOW!! Man, truck is looking great Buck! I love that blue you put on there also! What did you use for seats in it?
Just noticed the frame color, that looks really cool!!
Buck - Truck looks Awsome! I am with Pat, looking at your frame has me reconsidering how I am going to do mine on the 56. What did you use on the frame for paint?

I used the silver "Chassis Saver" paint. So far I'm happy with it, but I haven't seen how it holds up in the elements. The only thing would be that this paint is UV sensitive, but on the chassis, that doesn't matter too much. Probably a comparison to the paint would be the Rust Bullet. I got the idea of using Chassis Saver from a guy who restores Hot Rods up here and has been using it for years (so he told me) and really thought it held up well.
I haven't said anything about this yet.........but............DANG! That thing is sharp. I can't wait to see it when it's finished. Kind of what I want to do with my '69.....blue paint and black interior. I think it looks really sharp!
