Need some help here -
<!-- google_ad_section_end --> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message -->I have a 1999 F250 Super Duty Lariat PowerStroke 2 wheel posi - My A/C only blows out the defroster vents - I checked under the hood & on the passenger side there is a little black box that has a vac line tee with hoses - all seem tight - there is a hose connection off of this box that is not being used. Now I have owned this truck for about 4 years & the A/C has always worked this way
Called the dealership & they quoted - 1,100 - 1,300 to tear into the dash & find the problem & any parts would be xtra - well no way can I do that
Taking a trip out west late spring & will need that A/C to work correctly or my wife will B&M the whole way so Please someone anyone HELP
Kind Regards

Well I have one **** that sets max ac or just ac - fresh air etc & next to that is a temp **** that you turn to how ever you want the ac temp or heat temp to be - Now I removed my glove box door & behind the door to the left is a control arm that regulates a push plunger that goes up into the vent box area, well I pushed that a few times up & down & now I don't even have the fresh air coming from the dash vents
Under the hood where the one vac line connects to the black box device - there is a fitting that has no vac line attached - is there suppose to be 2 vac lines attached here?

if it's the system I'm thinking of on that box you have another control arm is a line on that arm and few of theses systems work right well they go back and forth vent to feet witch from what I've seen are made to do so you'll have more than one control arm move them till you find the right one then check for vaccume opperation
