Flares and rust damage ???
'95 F250 PowerSmoke 4x4 single cab full bed, 152,000-ish miles. Yes, I did a search.
Truck has spent its entire life in the rust belt. The usual rust on the tops of the wheel arches, front and rear. We've cut the cancer out, now we're thinking flares (Bushwacker, et al) to fill the gap. At the furthest, there's about 2.75" cut away.
I was thinking of those BW "Extend-a-Fenders", since they seem to cover more territory than the base flare. I Emailed them, but they don't know whether they would cover the gap. I know the "cut-out" style flares would cover it, but we don't wanna go for an extreme off-road look. It really doesn't matter how far "out" they extend, it's more how far "up" (against the sheet metal) they extend.
Has anyone used the Extend-a-Fenders for this purpose? The front and rear of each lip are intact, so there's plenty of material to mount them on. I just wanna be sure they'll cover the distance. Anybody have pics of their flares, and how far they extend up the sheet metal?

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying to cover some dents in the outer edges of the outer fender flare. My truck is a 2000 F250 and I've toiled with buying a new truck but I really love this truck and can't see getting rid of a diesel with only 130K miles. The fenders are dented up over the years and have a few rust spots in the rear quarters of the cab and the usual seam along the bottom of the door panels. I thought body work would probably be an easy $2,000. So I've been looking for a cheaper alternative.
