I desperately needed to replace the ball joints on my 05' f350. I have a problem with the snap ring that holds the axle shaft in place.

Is there a special set of snap ring pliers that are required for this job? Standard size are too small and not strong enough.

I bought a set of super heavy duty pliers from napa (70.00 tool!) and they still don't work because they're too bulky to spread the ring to get it out.

This is my daily driver and it's down so any quick respones would be appreciated.
