Hi everyone. I have been researching the lightning supercharger swap, and am considering doing it on my 2001 F150 Supercrew. I was concerned about getting the truck smog certified after the mod. I currently live in Alaska, but I am in the military and could move anywhere in the future. I plan on having this truck for a long time and just don't want to have problems trying register it in the next place I live.
I am originally from California, has anyone passed the smog check in California with supercharger swap?
I'm sure the laws are very different from state to state.
Mike lives in California, has done the swap and is also a good source for parts and helping info on the L swap. Give him a call,,he should be able to help you with info on smog certification. New Page 1 <<<
Welcome to FTE.

I will do some research myself and see what I come up with. Did you purchase the truck in California? I only ask because it may have Smog specific things that only vehicles from Ca. get installed on them. I think Phil's recomendation would do you well here.
Thanks for serving brother. I am retired Air Force myself.
