Is there any *real* news?
Seems like all we get are on again/off again rumors on the F100. Is there a solid press release from Ford, or a bonafide internal information source that really says the F-100 is cancelled?
Given that it's supposed to be based on the F-150, it seems that it may not cost that much for Ford to develop, even if only as a contingency plan which would become instantly relevant if we see $4 gas again.

This article in Truck Trend talks about the two smaller trucks in the pipeline, and the larger of the two IS the F-100:

It will be interesting to see, General Motors is in severe trouble, the Chrysler corporation is in even worse shape. I have been a Ford guy as long as I can remember, but it would be a real shame to loose either GM or Chrysler. I hate to say it but I think Chrysler is not going to make it, unless Fiat is willing to pour massive amounts of money into the company....

I respectfully disagree sir. Dodge is in trouble, but t he truck segment will always be there. Someone will pick it up and make them profitable again.
Ford needs viable competition breathing down they're backs. It's what gets us a better truck.
