And did you do it your self?
Is one able to just remove the whole strut assembly and take it to a shop to compress the spring and install new strut.
Then just bring the whole assembly back home and reinstall it?

I know I will need to get an alignment after, but I'd like to do as much of the work myself.

This is a total mcpherson strut assembly right?

For those of you who have done it how tough is it?
