2005 F250 Slow Fuel Fill

Yeah, that sounds like the way to get it done.
Once rented a U Haul box van with that problem.
You had to return the tank full or get screwed:
and you had to get it back before they closed or you were screwed.
After 30 minutes of trying to get gas into the tank,
and 15 minutes before closing,
I took it back and breathed real heavy on their piece of crap truck,
and stated that if they charged me for any gas,
I would see their corporate *** in small claims court.
Now, the poor receptionist was all
"You got a poor attitude",
which I did have:
but I had been around with those yahoos before,
and I know their corporate culture is
"screw the customer if you can",
and I made an impression on the receptionist
and got her name and left her a written complaint,
which I had copied.
Sure enuff the dirty sacks o' slime
dicked me $6.00 gal x 11gallons,:
I started a dialogue with the poor old corporate
jerkwad in Texas who is the nasty coroporate manager
who knew me from the prior go-around we had had,
and he reversed the charges.
This is only barely on topic, for which I apologize.

After all the research andfrustration, I decided to go back to "grass roots" mechanics and instead of falling into the R&R "remove and replace" trap, that I pulled off all of the components. Blew them clean with shop air, cleaned them up and reinstalled them. And, you'd be amazed at the result....IT WORKED!!!! So before you spend all of that cash, try the old fashioned method. You may get lucky.

My 2009 is the same way, it seems to be station specific. I couldn't say if the pumps are high speed as a previous poster had said or not. I would have to say it happens mainly at Costco, the employees that watch over the pumps just look at me like I have 2 heads. But for a .15 or more cents less a gallon I can handle the looks.

Mine will do it every time if I change from my routine. I pull the nozzle out slightly, make sure it is perfectly 90 degrees perpendicular to the side of the truck, and it fills right up. If I have the fill nozzle in all the way or the nozzle not perfectly perpendicular, it will stop every 1.5 gallons or so....it can be VERY aggravating.
