Anybody know of an easy way to remove the split retainer in the top of a injector to replace the oring. 07 F350 6.0L

I also have to wonder what the impact of a clogged oil cooler (read higher oil temperatures) has on injectors as well? It can't be good but I do wonder if high EOT's shorten the injector life as well?

Bad injectors

The garage told me injectors #2 and #4 were bad. He suggested replacing all 8 injectors @ a cost of aroun d $3,000.00 . Is this really necessary and would adding Stiction Eliminator help the problem ?

It would be best if you started your own thread with some background on why you had to take it to the shop.
