'65 dash wiring harness

I agree, I just ordered the EZwire harness tonight i just think it seems like a good one but I think any upgrade is a good move. I am glad that I am an electrician and work with wiring all the time. I just removed the harness from my 64 yesterday and laughed at the fuse block attached to my light switch. All I know is that I don't want to have any issues when I am on the road with wiring.
I also purchased the billet dash with dolphin gauges while I was there, nice setup IMHO.

Dman; looking forward to you posting pic's on your wiring upgrade if possible and gauges. I'm waiting on a new light switch I order for my 64 model from "the truckshop"; and one day will tackle redoing my wiring harness on my 65 model. Everything works but seems worn out & a fragile fire hazardous waiting to happen.
You mention your an electrician by trade; well in my case I'm a Fire Fighter, so the above mention hazard on my truck I should have no problem as well. lol

First, welcome to FTE!!. Found source for all the wiring harnesses 64 thru 67 Ford F100 except the dash harness, not sure why someone has not come up with repro by now. Food for thought, or option to consider: Reconditioned the wire harness on 65 using numerous plastic ties to keep it sorted, then replaced damaged wires, soldered new connectors, and added a circuit or two. Used the 'harness wrap tape' does not have the adhesive backing, anyhow, pleased with results.
May try running FTE search on topic, seem to recall few members mentioned using 'painless' kits and pleased with results. Their was an article on subject in 'Classic Truck Magazine' should be able to find by running a search on their website in the 'tech' forum. Post pic's when you can, don't hesitate to ask questions. Again, welcome!
