Coil springs

I have a question about getting rid of the front drum brakes in the 70 F100 and switching too 73-79 front discs... If i take everything off the 73-79 including radius rods and ibeams, will i also need the radius arm coil spring cups and the coil springs off the 73-79 or will my 70 springs and cups be just fine to use with 73-79 rods? That is.. are the springs the same length? Any thoughts on this or any other issue i might run into when putting it all back together will be appreciated.

The 73-79 springs should fit your 70 just fine, but they made a few different spring rates depending on engine size and a/c, so you'd be safe in keeping your 70 springs... or replacing with new springs since they are 40 years old.

Proportioning valve too.
Heck, get everything.
Wouldn't surprise me if the brake lines aren't bent different with the loops an all.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to push the center pin back through and even get the
nylon frame clips. LOL :)

I just dismantled a dent side and was wondering if the front brake hoses were
different and the frame mounted brake hose bracket were different.

If the new springs are short (use thicker wire) than your old ones you'll like the
new stiffer ones better anyway. :)

See how the wimpy spring is longer?

Check your "ride height" before and after? :)
