Manual Steering Box rebuild for 1961 unibody.

Does anyone know where I can source the parts to replace the bearings/bushings in the steering box on a 1961 unibody f100 with the manual steering box?

I keep finding bits for the 1960 and earlier trucks, and the 64 and later ones, but not the one I am looking for.

Any ideas?

I had trouble with my '62. I ended up just going to a local bearing shop with my parts, they fixed me up with some bushings and seals. As I recall, I didn't even have all of the parts, because the seal had been removed and the gear filled with bearing grease. I think I told them what I model I was working with and they had the spec sheet for it. The place here in Akron, Ohio is called Bearing Inc. I think it may be a national company.

Welcome to FTE

Where are you getting this what fits what jazz?

I know it's not from any Ford parts catalog.

The following parts are the same 1961/65.

1966/72, the sector shaft bushing is different, everything else is the same.

Except for the sector bushing, these same parts also fit 1960/72 passenger cars with manual steering.

2) C2AZ3571A .. Steering Shaft Bearing

2) C2AZ3552A .. Steering Shaft Race

1) B8A3576A .. Sector Shaft Bushing

1) C3AZ3581A .. Housing Gasket

1) C7OZ3591A .. Housing Seal

All these parts are obsolete.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has everything: 800-543-4959.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has everything but the sector bushing: 888-727-0418.

KINSEL L/M in Beaumont TX has everything but the sector bushing: 800-816-2894.

Kinsel will be cheaper than Green Sales, dunno about Parts Int'l.

I also found several of the sector shaft bushings (only) at other obsolete parts vendors & Ford Dealers.
