April Meet (Southern Maryland)

I just want to start the gears for a meet in April. Any suggestions for locations and date? Nelson suggested a restaurant in Waldorf. Any other ideas? Meet will most likely be discussion of the May meet which will be at MIR for the Truck show.

Do they still have the stop on the corner of 17 and 301? Man, that coffee was to drive for. It's been a lot of years since I was down that way. (On my route to Norfolk, etc.)

Go down 301 south. Make a left on 17. Place was on the corner.

Then it wouldn't be a Maryland meet..... but then again, nothing wrong with a dual state meet either!

It goes into Virginia. Used to take it down to 64 into Norfolk, and Va. Beach. Back in the '70s when I was in the Navy, it used to be a winding-a$$ed two lane. Probably an 8-lane now...

Ok guys back on topic here. Any other suggestions that are located in our area? A restaurant in Waldorf sounds fine to me.

Yeah man I will be there providing we are without rain. I plan on running my 03 Lightning few times down the track. It ran a 12.93 but that was without the tuner, Magnaflow Cat Back and the extra 2lb pulley. So I am hoping for a low 12 or high 11!

I need another set of NITTO Extreme 555's anyway so i plan on shaving some rubber man!

NOTE: I hear that it isnot a good idea to do a burnout on street tires. I will do the first few runs without a burnout but am wondering why it is not recommended? My thought is that you would loose traction and spin because water still remains between the treads afterwards. Any feedback on this?

See you all at the track!

Wheels to turn and rubber to burn!!!

Smoke em if you got em...Laters!
