1998 ford ranger 2.5

ok i gota 1998 ranger wuth the 2.5 and it does not like to idle very well.. first u got to play with the gas to get it started and keep it running really hard doing it all day.. but once it starts runnning right it will idle for hours at a time. like tonight had it idling for a bout a hour no problem went to the store shut it off and dint want to crank back up.. when i hooked up the computer it only brought up a overspeed error which is the iac overspeed replaced it no difference
