Tag on Passenger door on 1962

I have a 1962 f100 Unibody and my friend has a 1962 f100 4x4. On both of the vehicles right below the window on passenger door the sheet metal interior hinge side is a small chrome tag with nothing on it. Something was glue to it but has slid off long ago in the Eastern Oregon heat. Could someone enlighten me as to what is supposed to be on it or post a picture of it? it's at the same level as the vent control but on the door.

The rectangular "chrome tag" is actually an emblem, this one...

C2DZ64017A06A .. Emblem, says: "Product of Ford Motor Company" / Obsolete

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

I believe this emblem has been reproduced, possibly by Dennis Carpenter (704-786-8139), as it fits 1960/63 Falcons, 1961/66 Econolines, all the 1961/64 trucks.

This emblem was mounted on the right front door on some cars/trucks, on both front doors on Falcons, and on the glove box door on some of the trucks.

I looked, couldn't find the actual emblem or any decal.

Dearborn's newest catalog, which I got in the mail yesterday, is a LOT thinner, with only 174 pages.

Their prior catalog had 250 pages.

For one thing, they have dropped many of the emblems they used to sell.

Everything has gone bye bye except the Galaxie and Fairlane emblems.

Prior catalog: Emblems on pages 84 thru 100.

Latest catalog: Emblems on pages 67 thru 73.

Bill

There on page 102 of the 2008 catalog. Scuff plate decals. There the same thing used in the insert for the door on trucks. There an embossed aluminum foil piece that is glued in place.

DF370 and DF709
