ABS light came on after trying to start in D
I shut off my truck while still in Drive. Didn't realize it and tried to start back up, obviously did not start. Shifted to N started right up and drove off. ABS light came on a few seconds later and has stayed on since. Anybody know why this might have happened? Is there a way to test if the ABS system is actually bad?
Thanks,
Mike

The starting in drive thing shouldn't have caused this.
Do you have enough fluid in the master cylinder? The float switch will turn on the ABS light, but then you should get the red "brake" light on the dash too.
Other than that, you have to get the codes read to really see what's going on. And not the cheapo scanners.
If the light is on, the ABS system is disabled.
