In need of manual bell housing and flywheel

Im in need of a manual bellhouising and flywheel for a Lincoln 317. I have tried but can not find one. I do really want to keep this engine and use it in my project car but I want to put a manual trans. Now if I can not find a manual trans what else can I put on? thanks for your help Ed.

I got the impression somewhere that the Ford y-block bellhousing would fit the Lincoln block. Is that not right?

No Lincoln motor is wider than the Ford Y block.

actually the FE bell will fit but the dowels don't line up. they used a stick in the 57 merc. with the optional turnpike cruiser 368 engine, which is a lincoln engine and will fit but also hard to find. the truck junk yards is best, look for 52-64 F-8 and F-800's. they used a big spline cluch disc, 12 and 13".

The only problem here is that all the junkyards only carry small cars. No more trucks. That is the reason I'm trying out of state.

Is it possible a wide pattern bell from a 292 with T-18, 8 1/2 centers on the mounting holes, would work?

no, a y-block will not work, it only has 4 mounting bolts, a lincoln has 6 like a FE.

looz nuts, you have to look in big truck junk yards. it doesn't say where your from. i'm in central ohio and i have 3 setups but it would be expensive to ship them.
