Installing a Hood Ornament

I am thinking about replacing my hood on my 79 F-150 Explorer. How hard is it to install the hood ornament on a new plain hood.

Just drill the hole.

Measure the hole, and placement on the old hood.

Measure twice, (or more

) cut or drill once.

The ornament is held on with a nut, at the bottom side. You may need a deep socket.
