Fuel sender problems

07 FX4 Flex fuel

So the fuel pump driver module was jacked, and wouldn't let the fuel pump turn on. The dealership replaced it, and now the fuel level doesn't read right. Sometimes after filling up (with the engine off) the gauge creeps up slowly (up to a day) and last night it said I had a 1/8 tank of gas the low gas light came on and then the truck ran out of gas after about 5 miles. I know that I've driven the truck 20 miles or more with the light on before I've reached a gas station.

Sooo, my question is Where is the fuel level sensor? Is it mechanical at all?

My second question is where exactly is the fuel pump driver module? Is that in the tank? I'm trying to figure out if the one repair is the cause of these problems and if the tank had to be dropped before I drop it my self and check things out. Thanks in advance

Mine did the same thing the other day.....gas gauge just sat there and took 40 miles to adjust.....and then the next time i filled up it was right back to normal....i've looked around and its apparently a fairly normal thing on fords....and by normal it happens and goes away...
