Delayed Accessory Power

Does anyone know where to tap into the delayed accessory power in a 2000 Expy? The windows, moonroof and maybe something else in the truck all retain power when the key is turned off until the door is opened, then power is gone. However, the factory radio (in my case) is not part of this feature, neither is the key activated power source I have tapped into for some of the aftermarket add ons.

What I would like to do is tap into this source so that the satellite radio, PS2 and rear DVD do not shut off when I turn the truck from the on/run position to the accessory position.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suppose you could tap into the power wire for the windows (or moonroof) and drive a relay with it. Then run your radio, DVD, etc. through the relay contacts and onto an always live 12 volt power source. As long as power is going to the windows, your relay will keep the accessories powered as well.

BTW, the accessory power delay stays on until the door is opened, or for 10 minutes, whichever comes first. I don't believe it will stay on indefinitely until the door is opened.

Fuse F17 under the hood is the fused output of the accessory delay relay.

Why the designers took the output of the relay from the under dash fuse panel, routed it up to the under hood fuse box, and back into the cab is beyond me.
