What did you do to your truck today..

I figure as long as you don't post it in the paper, usually nobody will try it. My pickup sat out in the yard for about 6 years, and I never did lock it. and all it took was a screw driver to start it.
I guess if the tire is flat, nobody figures it runs. So rather that fixing the ignition, just let the air out of the tire, and bata bing, bata boom... nobody will try it.

I changed the 13 quarts of oil and the filter in the SD last thursday when it was 50 degrees. I'm sure glad I did that. Yesterday I fired up the 78 Bronco in the 10 degree weather. It had been sitting for a couple of weeks. It always amazes me how old Fords will fire right up after sitting for weeks or months at a time if they have fuel. I have to prime the Bronco usually with a little gas or starting fluid after sitting for a few weeks, but it always starts. I took the old Bronco up to the neighbor to jump start his granddaughter's 2008 Acura. It didn't like the cold weather.

I changed out the battery on the wife's car, it was 7 or 8 years old, its in a tub under the floor. When I took it in for a core, to exchange it for a new one, they asked me why I was bringing in a new battery. It had no dust on it, looked just like brand new, maybe even cleaner. It was working fine, except for one really cold night when it was parked outside, and even though it did start the car, it really struggled. Since then we have had weird errors pop up on the dash.
